How to install

The Google Workspace Marketplace listing is still under review. Until it is approved, you can install the add-on manually — it is the same code and it works today.

Manual install (about 10 minutes)

1 Open script.google.com and create a new project.
2 Copy in the five add-on files from the MiCompress source: Code.gs, CardBuilder.gs, DocsHandler.gs, SlidesHandler.gs and the appsscript.json manifest (enable it under Project Settings → Show "appsscript.json" manifest file).
3 In Project Settings → Script Properties, add a property named ADDON_API_KEY. Request your key from our contact page — we issue it per installation rather than publishing one shared key.
4 In Google Cloud, enable the Google Docs API and Google Slides API, then link that project under Project Settings → Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Project.
5 Click Deploy → Test deployments, pick Google Docs or Google Slides, and open any document. The MiCompress sidebar appears.

We do not publish the API key on this page. It is a shared credential — anyone with it could exhaust the rate limit for every add-on user, so we hand it out per installation.
